The Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) emerged from the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in 2012, also known as Rio+20, which aimed to set the global agenda for sustainable development. This conference emphasized the need for holistic approaches to economic growth that are not only environmentally sustainable but also socially inclusive, reflecting the principle of sustainable development that integrates economic, social, and environmental dimensions. PAGE serves as a collaborative platform to mobilize expertise and resources, assisting countries in transforming their economies to foster sustainable development in line with the goals set during the Rio+20 conference.
